Cam Taylor-Britt High on Bengals Secondary Potential: 'The Best in the League'
CINCINNATI — The 2023 Bengals secondary gave up way too many big plays in a year of transition, but Cam Taylor-Britt is confident this 2024 group can turn it around and be "the best in the league."
The now-veteran cornerback discussed their trajectory on Tuesday.
"The best in the league, there's no ifs ands or buts about it," Taylor-Britt said about the secondary's potential. "I think we started as soon as we got into building and it's continued and it's going to continue with the guys in his room. I don't see a downfall anywhere everybody can play in this room. You know how the seasons are long, you never know who'll have the opportunity to play. God forbid, we stay healthy, but most definitely, I can trust these guys to get the job done."
CTB looks like a lock to be the Bengals' top cornerback, with Mike Hilton in the slot and a competition brewing on the other side between the likes of DJ Turner II, Dax Hill, Josh Newton, and others.
Cincinnati ranked 28th in passing yards per game allowed last season (248.4 YPG).
