Carson Palmer Declares Joe Burrow NFL's Best Quarterback
CINCINNATI — Former Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer threw his weight behind Joe Burrow being the NFL's best quarterback. The Heisman Trophy winner made the comments this week.
Palmer played in Cincinnati for seven seasons before getting traded to the Oakland Raiders in 2011.
"I think Joe's the best quarterback in the league," Palmer said on The Room podcast. "Patrick is phenomenal. But I just think Joe's more consistent. Talk about not having a weakness, mentally strong, physically tall, accurate, can throw it fast enough, gets the ball out quick. I think he's athletic outside the pocket. He can do a lot of the same things Patrick Mahomes has done. He hasn't done it and showed it yet. He's played well within his system and style, but I think he's the best quarterback in the league."
Big praise for the MVP finalist, who has more playoff wins in his first three seasons, than any other Bengals quarterback in team history.
