Dax Hill Had a Feeling He'd Reunite With DJ Turner: 'My Assumptions Were True'
CINCINNATI — Dax Hill is excited to reunite with his Michigan teammate, DJ Turner, in the Bengals' secondary this coming season.
The safety spoke with reporters on Monday, telling them he had a feeling Cincinnati would land Turner once he started to fall to them.
"I did," Hill said about thinking Turner could possibly land in Cincinnati. "A few coaches asked me about him throughout the process, and I kind of put two and two together. I was watching the draft as well. He wasn't off the board. So I kind of put two and two together, and kind of made my assumptions, and my assumptions were true. So I'm glad that that played out."
Hill was still a bit surprised he fell that far, but is ready to join back up with his old teammate.
"I thought he was gonna be off the board a little bit earlier," Hill said. "You know, just the season he had at Michigan and just the player he is I was surprised he was still there. So that just shows you know, the NFL Draft, you really don't know where you're sliding that where you're gonna be at so I'm glad he's here."
