Dax Hill Names Irv Smith Jr. Best Basketball Shooter on Bengals' Roster

From ping pong to hoops, Bengals players seek competition all over the place.

CINCINNATI — Dax Hill chopped up some fun topics with AllBengals James Rapien on Cincinnati Bengals Talk this week. The two dove into Hill's basketball skills, and he shouted out one teammate who's impressed him as a player so far.

"I think the guy that I recently seen (is) Irv Smith," Hill said. "I was just shooting with him a few weeks ago. And I mean, he's a lefty, you know, lefties are kind of different, like on the court. I had a conversation with him. He grew up playing basketball too."

Hill said he got compared to former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade growing up.

"Whenever I did play, got a lot of comparisons to Dwyane Wade," Hill said. "I was more of like a facilitator. And I had like a nice little pump and I could draw a lot of fouls. So I was on a free throw line a lot. I had a good free-throw percentage, so I would say, Dwyane Wade."
