Duke Manyweather on Orlando Brown Jr.'s Bengals Debut: 'Expect Orlando to Settle In'

Cincinnati lost 24-3 to Cleveland on Sunday.

CINCINNATI — Orlando Brown Jr. had some of the few bright spots for the Bengals offensive line this past weekend in his Cincinnati debut.

Lindsay Patterson dove into his performance with offensive line expert Duke Manyweather on Cincinnati Bengals Talk.

"Cincinnati bringing in Orlando Brown was a really good draw for this offseason," Manyweather said. "Now, regardless of who you have at tackle. The fact of the matter is when you face a guy like (Myles) Garrett, you know, Garrett is going to be able to beat 95% of the tackles in the league. That 5% that are very good to great, that elite bunch you know, it'll be a matchup. Garrett's going to get his, but for the most part, I expect Orlando Brown to settle in and really be a pillar in a bright spot for this Bengals offensive line."

Brown was the Bengals' third-highest graded offensive player on Pro Football Focus coming off the Browns game (65.1 grade). He led all Bengals offensive linemen with the grade and was second behind Alex Cappa on the line with a 57 pass-blocking grade.

He allowed three pressures on the afternoon.

"Orlando is no stranger to protecting that high-dollar quarterback," Manyweather continued. "With that experience alone, you could make the argument that they've upgraded the left tackle position."

Jonah Williams earned a 49 PFF grade on Sunday, third lowest on the offensive line behind Cappa (41 overall) and Cordell Volson (39.1 overall).
