CINCINNATI — ESPN's Field Yates released his preseason NFL mock draft this week and has Cincinnati rolling with a wide receiver at No. 25 overall.

The Bengals took Ohio State playmaker Emeka Egbuka.

"With Tee Higgins' future still uncertain in Cincinnati, Egbuka would help offset a scenario in which Higgins signs elsewhere as a free agent in 2025," Yates wrote. "Egbuka is such a slick route runner and can dominate from the slot. Most impressive to me is how many clutch plays he has made for Ohio State -- he is so reliable. A future WR trio of Ja'Marr Chase, Egbuka and the speedy Jermaine Burton would be pretty, pretty good for Cincy."

A wide receiver would make a ton of sense in 2025 as Cincinnati is highly unlikely to retain Higgins long-term. However, breakout seasons from Andrei Iosivas, Charlie Jones, or others could change the thinking come next April.
