'It's More A Disappointment' - Ja'Marr Chase Not Focused on Individual Feats Amidst Bengals 2024 Season
CINCINNATI — Ja'Marr Chase is pacing toward a Triple-Crown receiving season, but he's still disappointed with the 2024 campaign. Cincinnati's top playmaker owns the league lead in receiving yards (1,612), catches (117), and touchdowns (16).
He could become the first receiver ever to post 1,700 yards and 17 TDs in one season, but it hasn't amounted to a playoff berth.
"I wouldn't say it's frustrating. I would just say, it's more like a disappointment," Chase said about the campaign. "We didn't really achieve what we wanted to this year. So, I'm more disappointed in that than the other thing."
Less than five receivers this century have led the NFL in all three top receiving categories. It's not top of Chase's mind though with a cold, tough division matchup on the horizon.
"I just gotta make sure I catch everything (Saturday)," Chase told the media about the feat. "Everything come my way I gotta get the ones that's contested. I just need to make the play.
