Joe Mixon: 'We The Big Dog Of The AFC'
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are a confident team having won an AFC-high seven consecutive games. Running back Joe Mixon stamped that with his comments on Saturday.
The Bengals top rusher described Cincinnati as the “big dogs” in the AFC.
“At the end of the day, what people gotta know and understand is we the big dog of the AFC,” Mixon told reporters on Saturday. “That’s just what it is, For anything to happen, it goes through us.”
Cincinnati has answered the bell time and time again over the past two seasons. They've only been beaten by double-digits twice in that span and own the top record against the spread over the last 23 games (20-3).
The running back also isn't too impressed with the Bills linebacking corps that includes Pro Bowl alternates Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano.
"They're a solid linebacker group, but they're not the Ravens," the running back said. "I mean, they're good. They get paid, too. I'm not saying they're not good. But they're not the Ravens."
Mixon and Co. can continue to prove they are the conference's top contenders in a primetime home environment.
Cincinnati and Buffalo meet on Monday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. ET. The game airs on ESPN/ABC and is available on fuboTV—start your free trial here.
