PFF Names Edge Rusher As Bengals Biggest Need Remaining in 2025 Offseason

CINCINNATI — The Bengals agreed to new deals with Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, but there is still plenty of work to be done on improving the rest of the roster.
Pro Football Focus thinks the team still needs to add an edger rusher above all else, even if Trey Hendrickson gets a new deal as well.
"If the Bengals fulfill Trey Hendrickson’s trade request, you can just about Sharpie in an edge defender to the Bengals at Pick No. 17," Max Chadwick wrote. "Even if the two sides work out a new contract, Cincinnati still needs to find his running mate following Sam Hubbard’s retirement. Neither Joseph Ossai nor Myles Murphy has worked out so far, each failing to earn 60.0 PFF overall grades in any season where they played enough snaps to qualify."
Ossai is back on a one-year deal, and Myles Murphy could splash with a bigger workload this fall, but there isn't any proven mauler on the edge besides Hendrickson (who is still in flux with his contract as of this writing).
Bringing in at least one more veteran, while signing Hendrickson to a worthy deal wouldn't hurt Cincinnati's chances of winning games this fall.
