CINCINNATI — Zac Taylor dropped the latest information on Cincinnati's key injuries before the final game of the regular season, namely Amarius Mims (hand) and Chase Brown.

Mims is fighting to play this weekend, as is Brown (ankle). Khalil Herbert would fill in at running back if Brown can't go this week.

"Yeah, manage him throughout the week," Taylor said about both Chase and Orlando Brown (fibula). "I mean him and several guys as this week goes. We'll just make sure they're ready for Saturday."

Sheldon Rankins' season is done after just seven games played and 18 tackles (one sack). Cincinnati can save $10.5 million against the salary cap by releasing him this offseason. Taylor was mostly mum on the injuries as they get one more day to recover compared to last week.

"We'll see on our whole team," Taylor joked with a smile. It's that time of year as NFL teams try to gut their way through the end of this week-to-week punishment.
