Bengals Select Georgia Player in Betting Odds-Based Mock Draft
CINCINNATI — PFF's Arjun Menon used positional betting lines to guide the site's latest mock draft and landed on Georgia tight end Brock Bowers at Pick 18 over names like Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims and Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II.
The betting odds lean toward Mims in this scenario, but Menon went a bit rogue.
"The Bengals could invest more in the offensive line (which is what the market is predicting now), but it’s hard to not give quarterback Joe Burrow another weapon," Menon wrote. "Bowers would provide a lot of positional flexibility, with the ability to line up inline or in the slot, forming another three-headed monster for Burrow to throw to, as has been the case since 2021."
Bowers is the 10th-best player on the consensus big board and top-ranked tight end in the 2024 class.
