CINCINNATI — The Bengals franchise tagged Tee Higgins and re-signed Trenton Irwin to a one-year contract, but Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson wants them to make a run at one of the most popular players in the NFL.

Johnson thinks the Bengals should make a run at Odell Beckham Jr. The former Pro Bowler visited the Dolphins this week and is training in Miami.

Johnson had a message for Beckham on the Nightcap Show.

"Hey Odell, Odell Beckham, come on down to Cincinnati," Johnson said. "Let me know what you think about that. Catching balls from Joe Burrow."

Beckham caught 35 passes in 64 targets for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games for the Ravens last season. He also averaged a career-high 16.1 yards-per-catch. With Tyler Boyd likely signing elsewhere in free agency, the Bengals have a hole to fill at wide receiver, but adding Beckham seems unlikely.

They're expected to address receiver in next month's NFL Draft.

It is worth noting that Beckham has praised Burrow in the past. He also went to LSU. The 31-year-old is unlikely to land in Cincinnati, even though Johnson wants to make it happen.

"You will love it. Text my phone," he said.
