Chase Brown Eager to Take on Bigger Workload in Year Two: 'That's Why We're in This Building'
CINCINNATI — The Bengals may need a bigger role out of Chase Brown this coming season and the second-year talent is ready for it. Brown met with the media on Monday after Cincinnati replaced Joe Mixon with Zack Moss.
Brown is eager to earn more responsibility.
"I did it in college," Brown said about handling a big RB load. "That's why we're in this building. I think everybody in here has the same mindset of competing and producing in any way that they can, and that's just my mindset every single day. However, that comes I'm ready to take on whatever comes my way."
Brown tallied 44 carries for 179 yards last season, but he could trend toward triple-digit totes this fall.
Joe Mixon's exit has a lot to do with that.
"He's done so much for this team, the city, the fan base, we're gonna miss him," Brown said about Mixon. "Gave him a call to see how he was doing, what his mindset was, he's definitely in a good place. Texans are gonna be a great city for him. He's a killer out there, so I'm excited for him in that sense, but opens up a lot of opportunity over here, and excited to get back to work."
