Jermaine Burton Caps Stellar Preseason With Touchdown Against Colts

The rookie was the best player on the field for many stretches over the three games.

CINCINNATI — Jermaine Burton capped arguably the best preseason of any rookie wide receiver this year with a touchdown on Thursday night.

Logan Woodside found his top target for a 21-yard TD strike in the 27-14 loss to Indianapolis. He snagged four of his five targets for 56 yards and the score.

All in all, Burton's caught 89% of his targets this preseason for eight grabs, 156 yards, and two TDs. It amounted to the league's highest passer rating when targeted prior to Thursday's game and this performance shouldn't move him off the top spot.
