CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow and the Bengals face a slimming path to the playoffs this season, but playoff hope isn't completely lost eight weeks in. Burrow laid out the likely 7-2 record they'll need to get into the wild-card round after losing 37-17 to Philadelphia.

Cincinnati stayed at No. 9 in the AFC standings thanks to upset wins by New England and Arizona's victory over Miami on Sunday.

"10 wins usually gets you in. So we got we got to win 7-of-9, that's doable, it's doable. So we'll go from there," Burrow noted in his postgame press conference.

Cincinnati entered the game with a 36.7% chance to make the playoffs according to ESPN FPI, a number that will fall but not by much after today. The next two games will shape their season tremendously across a pair of AFC outings, including the Thursday night road matchup against Baltimore.

"Yeah, they got a good front," Burrow noted about the loss. "And so when you're struggling running like that, then you know their pass rushers start to tee off a little bit. And we knew that going in, we knew their front was good, they were going to be disruptive. And we knew we were going to have to score points and we didn't score enough points today."
