Cincinnati Bengals and Tee Higgins Won't Agree to Long-Term Extension Before Deadline
CINCINNATI — Tee Higgins and the Bengals won't agree on an extension ahead of Monday's deadline according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The 25-year-old will play on the franchise tag this season and is scheduled to become a free agent next March. Higgins signed the franchise tender last month and is expected to report for training camp on time next week.
This felt inevitable after the Bengals used the tag on the star wide receiver in February. Higgins is scheduled to make $21.8 million this season.
