Bengals Claim Chiefs Cornerback Chris Lammons Off Waivers

Cincinnati is preparing for Kansas City in the AFC title game.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals made an intriguing waiver claim on Tuesday, picking up Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons. 

He is mainly a special teamer, but cannot join the team on the field until after the Super Bowl, but Cincinnati can talk to him about Kansas City leading up to Sunday's game.

Garnering that new information can't hurt against a team hosting the AFC title for a fifth-straight season.

UPDATE: Cincinnati officially claimed Lammons on Monday following the Super Bowl. He has appeared in 42 games over the past four seasons.
