Cincinnati Bengals training camp details, including current report dates

Here are the dates Cincinnati Bengals fans need to know

CINCINNATI — There is plenty of uncertainty surrounding the 2020 NFL season, but the league has found a way to keep a relatively normal schedule thus far, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Training camp is next up for all 32 NFL teams. Here are the important dates Bengals fans need to know:

July 21: Rookies and quarterbacks report

July 23: Rookies and quarterbacks are allowed to workout. Injured players report to camp.

July 28: Veteran players report

The schedule could change, but the Texans and the Chiefs' rookies are scheduled to arrive on Monday for COVID testing.

The Bengals could have rookies and quarterbacks take their coronavirus tests on Tuesday the 21st, before injured players arrive to camp a few days later.

Obviously this schedule could change in an instant. The NFL and the NFLPA have yet to agree on the safety measures that are going to be in place, not only for training camp, but for the 2020 NFL season.

Texans defensive end J.J. Watt said the league hasn't told the players how many times they'll be tested for COVID-19 on a weekly basis.

The NFL is also hoping to make every player wear the 'Oakley Mouth Shield' this season. The NFLPA wants it to be an optional accessory.

Those are just two of the many issues both sides have to work out if football is going to be played this fall.

The Chiefs and Texans are the first two teams scheduled to start training camp because they open the season on Thursday night, Sept. 10.

The Bengals' opener is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13 at Paul Brown Stadium.
