Trae Waynes and D'Ante Smith Cleared to Practice

Cincinnati received good injury news on Wednesday.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are dealing with plenty of injuries, but help is on the way. 

Veteran cornerback Trae Waynes was cleared to practice on Wednesday. He's been on injured reserve since Oct. 12. 

Rookie guard D'Ante Smith was also cleared and will return to practice. Smith suffered a knee injury and was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 12. 

Today starts a 21-day period during which Smith and Waynes may practice with the team without counting against the 53-player active roster. They are eligible to be activated to the roster at any time during that period.
