Cincinnati Bengals Open as Home Underdogs in Week 1 Matchup Against Minnesota Vikings

Cincinnati will start the season at home for a second consecutive year.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL this season. They open the 2021 campaign against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 12.

Despite making multiple additions on offense and defense over the past few months, Cincinnati is a home underdog in the matchup.

The Vikings are 3-point favorites according to BetOnline. The over/under for total points is 48.

Minnesota finished 7-9 last season. They've certainly been better than Cincinnati in recent years.

Oddsmakers are going to make Joe Burrow and the Bengals earn respect by winning on the field and not just upgrading their roster on paper. If Cincinnati gets off to a slow start, they might not be favored in many games this season.
