Bengals Signing Former Giants and Browns Running Back Gary Brightwell
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are signing running back Gary Brightwell to the practice squad according to Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports.
The Bengals worked out multiple players on Monday, including veteran running back Leonard Fournette, but Brightwell clearly stood out in his workout.
The 25-year-old has appeared in 39 career games. He has 41 rushing attempts for 164 yards and one touchdown.
Brightwell has mostly been a special teamer in his career, logging 640 special teams snaps and 34 kickoff returns. He gives them some depth and size (6-1, 218), plus special teams prowess/experience.
