Bengals Wide Receiver Charlie Jones Carted Off Field With Training Camp Injury
CINCINNATI — Charlie Jones was carted off the field on Thursday after getting injured during the Bengals' first practice on their new turf field. The injury is unknown, but he was carted off and consoled by teammates while he was leaving the field.
He is fighting to be a key contributor in the Bengals' wide receiver room and is expected to be Cincinnati's punt returner. He played 44 snaps on offense last year as a rookie.
Jones suffered the injury during a 7-on-7 period. It appeared to be a non-contact injury.
UPDATE: Jones underwent a MRI and is awaiting the results. He suffered a right knee injury.
