Bengals Wide Receiver Ja'Marr Chase Doesn't Practice For Second-Straight Day
CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase walked out to the practice field, but he isn't participating for a second-straight day.
Cincinnati plays New England in 10 days (Sept. 8) in the regular season opener. Chase participated in two light practices on Sunday and Monday, but showed up in street close for the past two sessions.
Chase is eligible for a contract extension and is clearly hoping to sign a long-term deal with the Bengals before the start of the regular season. He didn't participate in any training camp practices and hasn't spoken with the media.
The 24-year-old is entering his fourth NFL season. The Bengals picked up his fifth-year option for 2025, so any extension he would receive would start with the 2026 season.
