Bengals Bringing Back Brandon Allen on One-Year Deal

The 29-year-old will return to Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are re-signing backup quarterback Brandon Allen according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. 

The veteran appeared in six games for Cincinnati last season, making one start. Allen is signing a one-year deal. 

He's served as a backup for the Bengals for the past two seasons. His familiarity with the offense and relationship with star signal-caller Joe Burrow are two big reasons why they wanted to re-sign Allen this offseason.
