Buccaneers Injury Report Full Of Game-Time Decisions Ahead Of Bengals' Matchup

More than a handful of key Tampa players are banged up.

CINCINNATI — Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles updated injury statuses for a bevy of players heading into Sunday's bout against Cincinnati.

Players with unknown designations now out for Sunday's game are OLB Genard Avery (abdomen/oblique), OLB Carl Nassib (pectoral), CB Jamel Dean (toe), and DL Vita Vea (calf).

All of those players serve a role on a Buccaneers' defense that's slipped a bit in 2022.

Bowles said OLB Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (hip) is a game-time decision, same with players like S Antoine Winfield Jr. (ankle), S Mike Edwards (hamstring), and LT Tristan Wirfs (ankle). Wirfs was All-Pro in 2021 but has not played since the Bucs' 23-17 loss to Cleveland.

Tampa is extremely thin on the defensive side of the ball as they get ready to face the third-best EPA/play offense in the NFL.

Cincinnati battles the Buccaneers at 4:25 p.m. ET this Sunday. Fans can watch on CBS via fuboTV—start your free trial here.
