CINCINNATI — The Bengals defense is getting a boost. DJ Ivey will make his 2024 debut on Sunday in Cleveland. The second-year cornerback suffered a torn ACL in December.

Ivey returned to practice last week, but was inactive against the Giants. He had another great week of practice and the decision was made on Thursday for Ivey to be active this week, sources tell BengalsTalk.com.

Look for Ivey to play a role on defense, which could include guarding Browns tight end David Njoku. He'll also have a role on special teams.

Ivey had three tackles and one pass defensed in eight games last season. The Bengas had an open roster spot, so they didn't have to make a corresponding move.

The Bengals also elevated offensive lineman Trey Hill from the practice squad. He'll serve as a backup guard on Sunday in Cleveland.
