Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Coordinator Al Golden Wins Broyles Award

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Al Golden won the Broyles Award on Thursday night.
The award is given to college football's top assistant coach.
Golden helped Notre Dame finish 14-2. They won three games in the College Football Playoff, before falling to Ohio State 34-23 in the National Championship Game.
He spent three seasons as the Notre Dame defensive coordinator. The Bengals hired him to be their defensive coordinator last month.
Golden is hoping to transform a Bengals defense that was one of the worst units in the NFL last season.
