Bengals Make Another Move on Zac Taylor's Staff, Hire Defensive Quality Control Coach

The Bengals are bringing back an old friend

CINCINNATI — The Bengals hired Louie Cioffi as their defensive quality control coach on Friday. 

The veteran coach has 22 years of NFL experience. 

Cioffi was on the Bengals' staff from 1997-2010. He also spent time with the Browns, Titans, Cardinals and Jets. 

He last coached for the Atlanta Legends in the AAF in 2019 and for the D.C. Defenders of the XFL in 2020.  

The Bengals have completely remade their defense over the past two offseasons. Cioffi gives the defensive staff another set of eyes on a unit that is hoping to be much improved in 2021.
