CINCINNATI — Former Bengals interior offensive lineman Max Scharping is expected to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Scharping spent the past two seasons in Cincinnati, appearing in 31 regular season games. He served as the Bengals' backup center in 2023.

Scharping signed with the Eagles in June, but was released and landed on the Commanders practice squad. He'll join a Steelers offensive line room that is dealing with multiple injuries.

The Bengals still have to play Pittsburgh in Week 13 and Week 18.
