Jake Browning Explains 'One Regret' He Has About Viral Video Following Bengals' Win Over Vikings

The Bengals have won 3-straight games with Browning at quarterback.

CINCINNATI — Jake Browning is off to a historic start since taking over for Joe Burrow

The 27-year-old went viral for yelling "you never shoulda f****** cut me!" at the camera immediately after the Bengals' 27-24 win over the Vikings

"I fully lost my mind," Browning said on Tuesday. "I think my one regret with that was you go watch the film, it's never as good, never as bad as you thought. And, we played unbelievable at a lot of positions that weren't quarterback."

Browning led Cincinnati on three touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to force overtime. He gave his teammates plenty of credit for his success.

"I threw a pick in minus territory in the third quarter, that turns into three points. That's losing the game type of play if our defense doesn't swell up," Browning said. "Lose DJ Reader, who is an All-Pro level nose guard, in the first quarter and then we stuff them on third-and-short, fourth-and-inches. That's another one we lose the game, if they don't do that. And then I throw the ball up to Tee (Higgins) and he makes one of the craziest plays I've ever seen. And then I have an authentic reaction to—you know, you keep it all pent up and then it comes out—but I guess my biggest regret was that game turned into like my revenge game, when in reality there were so many things that went into getting that win. Making sure it's acknowledged it wasn't just my revenge game, it was a great team win.

"It's not that I don't think I'm playing well. I just want to make sure that it's highlighted that a lot goes into it and that the team aspect of it doesn't get lost just because I fully lost my mind and broke a helmet and all that."

Browning is the first quarterback in NFL history to complete at least 75% (75.97%) of his passes and throw for 1,000 (1,180) yards in his first four starts. Beating the Vikings meant something to him, but he's already moved on. He's focused on Saturday's game against the Steelers.

"I'm not just some robot. So I do have emotions. And I guess I showed it there," Browning said. "I’m over talking about the revenge game. It’s a humbling league and I’m not looking back. I’m moving onto the Steelers. I’m very aware that every week is a new challenge and excited for the new challenge."
