Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase on What Stands Out About Chiefs Secondary: 'Nothing'

The Bengals need to beat the Chiefs on Sunday to keep their playoff chances alive.

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase practiced on Thursday afternoon for the first time since suffering a shoulder injury in Week 15 against the Vikings.

Chase was a limited participant and wouldn't confirm he was playing on Sunday, but wasn't shy about how he felt about the Chiefs' defense.

"If I'm being honest, nothing," Chase said when asked what stands out about their secondary. "They just know how to play us. They know what splits we're in, they just know what we're gonna do in certain moments. They throw a little double-double at us to stop the two best players on the outside and that's all they do. It's not really like they got a Jalen Ramsey on their side, so not much."

Chase was asked a follow up later roughly three minutes later.

"They could take it how they wanna. I don't care," he said. "I know what I see on paper and I know what I see in game. That's why they double everybody. Because they can't do it 1-on-1. The best player on they team is L'Jarius Sneed. Everybody knows that. That's why they double-double everything they see.

"They know I'm good. They know how to play us. That's what it is, but it's not like they got a superstar on their defense."

Chase has 93 catches for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He's dealing with a separated shoulder, but it sounds like he's going to do everything he can to play against the Chiefs.
