Joe Burrow Back at Paul Brown Stadium: 'Every Guy on the Team Knows He's a Strong Individual'

The Bengals got good news about Burrow on Monday.

CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is back at Paul Brown Stadium after undergoing an appendectomy last Tuesday.

The 25-year-old talked with some of his teammates on Monday morning, just six days after having surgery.

"It was great. Just seeing him walking in, just him being OK," wide receiver Tyler Boyd said. "Every guy on the team knows he's a strong individual and we know he overcome adversity very well. He'll bounce back, but he gotta get right first and we're here behind him no matter what."

Burrow won't practice on Monday, but getting back in the building is a significant step in his post-surgery progress.

He isn't expected to play in the Bengals' first preseason game against the Cardinals on Aug. 12.
