CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow has spoken. Again.

With Duke Tobin making the rounds this week with comments about Ja'Marr Chase's future with the Bengals, it was only natural for ESPN's Laura Rutledge to ask Burrow about the star receiver during the NFL Pro Bowl Games.

The star quarterback praised Chase, but also made it clear he's one of multiple guys on the roster that should and need to be paid this offseason.

“I don’t know what more he could show and do to prove himself," Burrow said on ESPN. "We have several guys like that, who have stepped up for us, and deserve to be paid ... and deserve to be paid what they’re worth.”

Burrow was likely referring to Chase, Higgins and Trey Hendrickson. That trio has been a big part of the Bengals' core over the past four seasons.

Higgins is scheduled to become a free agent in March. Meanwhile, Chase is on the fifth-year option and Hendrickson is entering the final year of his contract.
