NFL Insider: There's a Real Trade Market for Bengals Linebacker Germaine Pratt

The veteran requested a trade on Wednesday.

CINCINNATI — Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt officially requested a trade on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old is entering the final year of his contract. He had 143 tackles last season.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network expects there to be a trade market for Pratt.

"The Bengals will have a market should they decide to trade him in order to free up more cash to continue re-signing their offensive weapons," Rapoport tweeted.

The Bengals would probably love to get a day three draft pick in return for the veteran. There's real belief in league circles that they were going to move on from Pratt this offseason.

The Bengals would open up $5.6 million in cap space if they traded or released Pratt.
