Report: Bengals to Play it Conservative With Myles Murphy Following Knee Injury
CINCINNATI — Bengals defensive end Myles Murphy is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks with the knee sprain he suffered earlier this week according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
We reported that the former first round pick avoided serious injury and wouldn't miss extended time after leaving Tuesday's joint practice on a cart.
If the 22-year-old is our for four weeks, then he would be ready for Cincinnati's Week 3 matchup with Washington on Monday Night Football.
Fowler adds that the team will be "conservative" with Murphy and won't rush him back.
Overall, it's still good news considering he suffered a non-contact injury, but there's a real chance Murphy misses multiple games to start the regular season.
