Report: Ja'Marr Chase Expected to Miss Time With Shoulder Injury

The Bengals are dealing with injuries to some of their top players.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase isn't expected to play on Saturday against the Steelers according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Chase is dealing with a shoulder injury that he suffered in Cincinnati's Week 15 win over Minnesota.

"The expectation is that he is sidelined for this week’s game against the Steelers, and it could extend beyond that," Rapoport tweeted.

Chase has 93 catches for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns this season. If he can't play, then the team will rely on Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd as the top options at wide receiver with Trenton Irwin, Andrei Iosivas and Charlie Jones also expected to get snaps on offense.

The Bengals are 8-6 and currently hold the No. 6 seed in the AFC playoff standings. They play the Steelers on Saturday, the Chiefs on New Year's Eve and then they wrap up the regular season with the Browns on Jan. 7.
