Report: NFL Will Not Finish Postponed Bengals-Bills Game, Making Cincinnati AFC North Champions
CINCINNATI — AP Reporter Rob Maaddi just revealed that the NFL won't resume Bengals-Bills following the postponement of the game due to Damar Hamlin's medical emergency.
With the decision, Cincinnati wins the AFC North, marking the franchises first consecutive division title stretch since 1981-82. The Ravens cannot beat the Bengals based on winning percentage, meaning the race is over.
The Bills' safety tackled Tee Higgins in the first quarter of Monday night's game, and then Hamlin immediately collapsed after getting up from the play.
Paramedics administered CPR and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on the field for nearly 10 minutes before transporting him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Fans immediately found a GoFundMe toy drive fundraiser that Hamlin started in 2020. The original goal was $2,500—as of this writing—the total had surpassed $7.1 million in donations. Click here to support.
Cincinnati and Buffalo now finish the season with 16 games played.
