In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals may have just installed new artificial turf this offseason for nothing. Ohio state lawmakers are introducing a bill on July 30 that would require all professional sports teams to play on at least 90% natural grass surfaces.

The NFLPA has been adamant with opinions from players and a study during the 2022 season that artificial turf is more dangerous to play on than natural grass. State lawmakers are listening and it might mean the Bengals installed their new $1 million surface for one season, if not shorter.

The Bengals replaced their slit-film turf with FieldTurf after five years of playing on the old surface.
