Report: Tee Higgins Didn't Show Up For Bengals Mandatory Minicamp
CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins isn't present for the start of mandatory minicamp and is subject to fines, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Higgins, 25, wants a long-term contract, but talks haven't gone anywhere. The Bengals placed the franchise tag on Higgins in February. The two sides have until July 15 to agree to a long-term contract extension.
If they can't agree on a new deal, Higgins will have to play on the tag, which is a one-year, $21.8 million contract. Higgins requested a trade this offseason, but the Bengals have no plans to trade him and are expecting him to play on the tag.
It's worth noting that Ja'Marr Chase did report on Monday. For more on minicamp, go here.
