Tyrann Mathieu on Ja'Marr Chase: 'He's Like Odell Beckham Jr. 2.0'

Chase was dominant in two games against the Chiefs.

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had 11 receptions for 266 yards and three touchdowns against the Chiefs in Week 16 last season.

The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year had another six catches for 54 yards and one score in Cincinnati's win over Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game.

Chase left quite an impression on star safety Tyrann Mathieu.

"I hate to compare people, but he's like Odell Beckham 2.0," Mathieu told NFL Films. "I remember he caught a ball on us, it was like a 10-yard out. It was really just supposed to be a drive starter. He took it 80-yards to the crib. He outran everybody. He had like 200 at halftime. It was embarrassing."

The Bengals beat the Chiefs twice last season. Chase was the biggest reason why they won the first matchup against Kansas City.

Mathieu and Chase both went to LSU.

"It was tiger on tiger crime," Mathieu joked.
