The last time Tom Brady offered a prediction when it came to the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen in 2022, it was that he'd one day lose a top weapon in the same fashion Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes had. That came to fruition last month when the Bills traded Stefon Diggs and a pair of draft picks to the Houston Texans for a 2025 second-round pick.

On the Deep Cut Podcast, the all-time great New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback offered another prediction for Allen, though, this one is much easier for Bills fans to get behind. Brady tabbed Allen as the next quarterback to win the Super Bowl for the first time in his career but prefaced it with the challenge he has to overcome in the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and Mahomes.

"I like Josh Allen a lot," Brady said. "I'd pick Josh. I like Josh a lot as a guy, as a leader but he's got to get past the Chiefs and that's hard because Patrick is incredible in the way he leads that team."

Allen has proven he's capable of showing up when it matters most for the Bills, as he has helped lead them to four straight AFC East titles. He has also proven to be among the game's elite at the most important position, as he's the first player in NFL history to have over 40 touchdowns in four straight seasons. Across his 10 playoff appearances in five seasons, Allen has thrown for 2,723 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions, and he has run for 563 yards and scored five times on the ground.

Allen's path to his first Super Bowl isn't an easy one even outside of the Chiefs and Mahomes. In the AFC alone, the Cincinnati Bengals and Joe Burrow, Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson and Texans with C.J. Stroud have also proven to be among the league's best and are eyeing their first Super Bowl as well.

The Super Bowl has proven to be elusive for the Bills and Allen despite consistently being one of the better teams in the AFC in recent years. But if Brady's previous track record of predictions when it comes to Allen and Buffalo holds true, the Lombardi Trophy may not be too far out of their grasp in the near future.
