WATCH: Khalil Shakir Works Out With Buffalo Bills Legend
Khalil Shakir is looking to be molded by Moulds.
Former Buffalo Bills receiver Eric Moulds is returning to the practice field to oversee the next generation of Western New York big-play talents. The process will be documented in "Embedded," a web series that will premier on the Bills' video channels on April 23.
Take a look at the preview featuring Shakir and Moulds:
Bills fans will no doubt take an interest on Shakir's development, as the third-year receiver is set to take on a larger role on the Buffalo offense with Gabe Davis gone. Shakir rounded off last season on a high note, picking up 536 yards over the final 10 regular season games.
Such observers will no doubt enjoy Moulds taking Shakir, a fifth-round pick from 2022, through workouts inspired by coaching legend Marv Levy. The process also gives Moulds a chance to showcase his inner Josh Allen, notably striking Shakir with a deep ball to the amusement of both pass catchers.
Moulds, 50, played all but two seasons of a 12-year NFL career with the Bills after arriving as the team's first-round pick in the 1996 draft. Despite enduring the meat of the Bills' lengthy playoff drought that defined the early stages of the new century - one that featured a de facto revolving door at quarterback - Moulds managed to leave a lasting mark of the franchise's statistical ledgers.
Entering the 2024 season, Moulds ranks second in Bills history with 9,096 yards on 675 receptions, trailing only predecessor Andre Reed in both categories. Moulds also holds the NFL record for most receiving yards in a single postseason game, putting up 240 against Miami during the 1998-99 playoffs.
