'(Bleeping) Terrible!' Patrick Mahomes Loses It On Referees For Kelce-Kadarius Call In Buffalo Bills Win at Chiefs: Live Updates

Patrick Mahomes has developed a well-earned reputation for keeping it cool for the Kansas City Chiefs. But the way this one ended, with the Chiefs' clever Travis Kelce backward pass for a touchdown to Kadarius Toney?

No. Not even Mahomes could keep his cool after the Buffalo Bills turned a loss into an important 20-17 win on Sunday at K.C.

How did it all unfold, with Buffalo jumping to 7-6 with the upset win? Follow along!

Bills Beat Chiefs, Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

The playoffs have come early for the Buffalo Bills with five games left to play in the regular season. And if Buffalo is going to make the playoffs for the fifth straight year, it’ll have to begin its run at a familiar place.

The Bills go out of the bye week and straight into the fire as they face the Kansas City Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium. In the last two regular season games at Arrowhead, the Bills have beaten Kansas City 38-20 in 2022 and 24-20 last season. The Chiefs (8-4) have won the two playoff games in their building 38-24 in 2021 and 42-36 in 2022.

The week has been anything but normal for Buffalo heading into a must-win game. Rather than another chapter in the Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes rivalry grabbing the headlines, Bills head coach Sean McDermott has had to defend his character after his comments about 9/11 were unveiled in a Tyler Dunne article on GoLongTD.com on Thursday.

With the distractions and pressure heading the matchup between perennial AFC contenders, can McDermott block out the noise and coach the Bills to a win in their biggest game of the season? A win over a conference rival would start a tough five-game stretch on the right foot, but a loss would diminish Buffalo’s already slim playoff chances and cause even more chaos for a team that’s lived in it for much of the season.

'I Know Who I Am!' Sean McDermott Calls 9/11 Speech Report an 'Attack'

The Chiefs will be down four starters on Sunday with running back Isiah Pacheco (shoulder), left tackle Donovan Smith (neck), defensive back Bryan Cook (ankle) and linebacker Drue Tranquill (concussion) being ruled out on Friday.

Buffalo tight end Dawson Knox is active for the first time in five games after having his 21-day practice window opened earlier this week. Knox suffered a wrist injury that required surgery, which landed him on the Injured Reserve.
