Bills Game-by-Game Schedule Prediction: Will Buffalo's AFC East Reign Continue?
The Buffalo Bills' 2023 regular season schedule is fresh off the press. With the final major televised event of the offseason in the rear-view mirror, fans and analysts alike will turn their attention to making predictions about the upcoming season.
With that in mind, here is the Bills' schedule in its entirety, along with game-by-game predictions:
Week 1 @ New York Jets - September 11, 8:15 p.m.
Kicking off the new season, the Bills and Jets will be Week 1's main event as they play on ESPN's Monday Night Football. The Jets made a big addition in quarterback Aaron Rodgers, while the Bills retain the chemistry offensively they've had in the past, which will prove to be enough in the season-opener.
Record: 1-0
Week 2 vs Las Vegas Raiders - September 17, 1 p.m.
The Raiders also made some changes over the offseason, like getting rid of quarterback Derek Carr in favor of Jimmy Garoppolo. But similar to the Jets, the Bills should be able to get the job done in their home opener.
Record: 2-0
Week 3 @ Washington Commanders - September 24, 1 p.m.
The Bills are on a two-game winning streak against the Commanders and that won't end in Week 3.
Record: 3-0
Week 4 vs. Miami Dolphins - October 1, 1 p.m.
These two teams met three times last season, with the Bills finishing 2-1 against the Dolphins. But Miami took the first matchup that came down to the final seconds, which is what will happen here as the Bills lose their first game of the season.
Record: 3-1
Week 5 vs. Jackson Jaguars (in London) - October 8, 9:30 a.m.
This game will likely come down to who travels better as both teams travel across the pond to London, England, as part of the NFL's International Games. The Jaguars will give Buffalo its second loss of the season as quarterback Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars prove to be too much.
Record: 3-2
Week 6 vs. New York Giants - October 15, 8:20 p.m.
The Giants surprised a lot of people in their playoff appearance last season but won't upset the Bills in Orchard Park.
Record: 4-2
Week 7 @ New England Patriots - October 22, 1 p.m.
The Bills have gotten the better of Bill Belichick and the Patriots in recent years after being terrorized by Tom Brady. That won't change for the Bills, even in Foxboro.
Record: 5-2
Week 8 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - October 26, 8:15 p.m.
Speaking of Brady, the Buccaneers will have a new quarterback under center but they don't know who yet between Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask. With that uncertainty, it is hard to imagine that they can lead the Buccaneers to a win over the Bills in Orchard Park.
Record: 6-2
Week 9 @ Cincinnati Bengals - November 5, 8:20 p.m.
Wanting revenge won't be enough to help the Bills get one over on Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
Record: 6-3
Week 10 vs. Denver Broncos - November 13, 8:15 p.m.
Will Sean Payton be able to get Russell Wilson cooking again? We'll see but the Bills take this one.
Record: 7-3
Week 11 vs. New York Jets - November 19, 4:25 p.m.
After taking advantage of a Jets team that was trying to jel with its new quarterback, the Bills will have to settle for splitting the season series here.
Record: 7-4
Week 12 @ Philadelphia Eagles - November 26, 4:25 p.m.
At the beginning of a tough two-game road trip, Allen and the Bills' offense will prove enough to beat the Eagles.
Record: 8-4
Week 13 BYE Week
Week 14 @ Kansas City Chiefs - December 10, 4:25 p.m.
Even with the extra week of preparation, the Bills won't be able to stop the defending Super Bowl champions in Arrowhead.
Record: 8-5
Week 15 vs. Dallas Cowboys - December 17, 4:25 p.m.
The Bills will break 500 with the Cowboys getting a win in Jerry World. This would push them to 6-6 against Dallas all-time.
Record: 9-5
Week 16 @ Los Angeles Chargers - December 23, 8:00 p.m.
The Bills will be backed by a strong fanbase that is packed into SoFi Stadium as Buffalo beats the Chargers
Record: 10-5
Week 17 vs. New England Patriots - December 31, 1:00 p.m.
At home on New Year's Eve, the Bills will close out the season sweep on the Patriots at home.
Record: 11-5
Week 18 @ Miami Dolphins - TBD
While the Bills won't have the advantage of some snowy weather as they did a season ago, they will finish the season on a four-game winning streak and maybe even clinch the AFC East title once again.
Record: 12-5
