WATCH: Buffalo Bills TE Dalton Kincaid Scores First-Career TD vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Buffalo Bills first-round rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid has found the end zone for the first time in his NFL career.

Buffalo Bills first-round rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid was a hot topic of conversation leading up to Thursday night's meeting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium.

Fellow tight end Dawson Knox was placed on IR Thursday and will have wrist surgery. This puts Kincaid at the top of the depth chart, and he made the most of it in the first half against Tampa Bay, which was highlighted by his first-career NFL touchdown.

Kincaid scored on a 22-yard catch-and-run touchdown late in the first half to give Buffalo a 17-10 lead at halftime. He finished the first half with two catches for 25 yards.

Take a look at the touchdown:

Allen had already looked Kincaid's way twice in the red zone prior to his touchdown. The rookie managed to get Buffalo down to the one-yard line late in the second quarter and was the intended target two plays later on 4th and goal. However, the pas toward the pylon for Kincaid was batted away by the Tampa Bay defense.

Kincaid is coming off his best game as a pro in the loss to the Patriots. He posted eight catches (on eight targets) for 75 yards.

Even in a game where Stefon Diggs commanded 12 targets, Kincaid led the Bills in catches and receiving yards.

Knox praised Kincaid’s performance following the game.

“Definitely a bright part of the game,” Knox said. “He’s a weapon to be used. So hopefully, that will keep his confidence up. The more weapons we have on offense, the more we can spread the ball around, the more versatile we can be. The harder it is to defend every part. Definitely happy for him. Hopefully that will continue building.”
