Bills RB Darrynton Evans: Cut or Keep on Roster?

Darrynton Evans is one of many players on the roster bubble for the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills are just days away from cutting their roster from 90 to 53, meaning a bunch of players' careers will hang in the balance.

Among those on the roster bubble is running back Darrynton Evans, who Bleacher Report projects as someone who won't make the final 53-man roster.

"Evans, 25, could provide depth behind James Cook, Damien Harris and Latavius Murray, but he didn't exactly pop in his preseason debut—averaging 3.0 yards per carry. Undrafted rookie Jordan Mims has flashed a little more and scored a touchdown in Game 2," Bleacher Report writes.

Evans signed with the Bills late last month after Nyheim Hines was ruled out for the season following a jet ski crash. He has three years of experience in the league with the Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears, but he is buried in the depth chart and hasn't made much headway in trying to move his way up.

It will be tough for the Bills to carry more than three running backs, so keeping Evans likely means another position wouldn't have the opportunity to keep another player. If Evans was a dynamo on special teams, it would help his case, but he isn't standing out in that department either.

Evans has one last chance to make an impression for the Bills when they visit the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Kickoff is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
