Bills Set for Draft Visit with Auburn DE Derick Hall: 'Tougher Than S***!'

The Buffalo Bills are set to hold a virtual meeting with Auburn Tigers defensive end Derick Hall.

The Buffalo Bills could be looking to add some more pass-rushing talent to an already elite defense via the draft this month.

And per reports from KPRC2 in Houston, Auburn Tigers defensive end Derick Hall seems to be someone the Bills have an eye on, as they're set to have a Zoom call with the pass-rusher sometime soon.

NFL.com gives Hall a 6.37 prospect grade, putting him in the 6.3-6.9 range of "eventually being a plus starter," per the grading system.

But his grade means little when considering what scouts told NFL.com about Hall.

“He’s tight-limbed and he’s more segmented than you want but he’s tougher than s*** and he’s going to be a great fit in a locker room," one AFC scout said.

Hall used his brute strength to find success during four seasons at Auburn, going up against the best competition the SEC had to offer. He proved he belonged amongst the best, totaling 19 sacks over the past three seasons. He also added five forced fumbles and an interception.

This included a nine-sack campaign in 2021, as Hall ended off the regular season with three sacks against Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, who could potentially be the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft.

NFL.com described Hall's ability as a pass-rusher as one that can transition from "bulldozer to pocket vulture as a sack artist."

"Sack artist" seems appropriate for a guy with Hall's collegiate résumé. If his virtual meeting with the Bills goes well, maybe it's a reputation he could keep up in Buffalo while learning from the great Von Miller.
