Bills OT Dion Dawkins 'Not a Fan!' of Dolphins 'Chirper' Christian Wilkins
The Buffalo Bills had some memorable games against their AFC East rival Miami Dolphins last season.
From the Bills' heat-stroked, last-second meltdown in Week 3, to their clutch snow-filled win in Week 15, the team experienced it all against the Dolphins before beating them one last time in Buffalo, 34-31, during another exciting finish in the AFC Wild Card at Highmark Stadium.
But the three matchups allowed Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins to get a closer look at Dolphins defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, who was involved in two separate scuffles with Buffalo last season.
He gave quite the blunt response when asked by Collin Cowherd what he thinks of his AFC East counterpart.
"Wilkins is … a guy, I’m not a huge fan," Dawkins said. "Trench battles. ... Chirper on the field, off the field he's just a different dude."
In the Wild Card game, Bills quarterback Josh Allen tossed an interception in the second quarter and took exception to a bit of a late hit from Wilkins. Far from a violent hit, Allen got upset and started shoving match with Wilkins, which led to some tussling between the two teams.
Dawkins found himself at the center of attention as well, as he emerged from the scuffle with the helmet of an unknown Dolphins player and began to play keep away.
Of course, it's obvious who Bills Mafia will side with. But it now remains interesting to see what Wilkins has to say (if anything) in response to the offseason trash talk from Dawkins.
The Bills and Dolphins will meet for the first time this season in Week 4 on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Highmark Stadium.
