Bills WR Gabe Davis Injured, Status Uncertain vs. Steelers
The Buffalo Bills may have dodged a bullet with Gabe Davis' injury.
The fourth-year receiver suffered a knee injury in the first quarter of the Bills' 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium and didn't return for the rest of the game.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Davis sprained his PCL and that the injury "is not considered major" ahead of Buffalo's Wild Card matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. He tweeted that Davis' status for the first round of the playoffs is yet to be determined, though it was relatively good news for him and the Bills.
"Sources: Bills standout WR Gabe Davis suffered a PCL sprain that is not considered major," Rapoport tweeted. "His status is TBD, but he has not been ruled out of anything just yet. Buffalo’s big-play WR got some solid news. He will one of the top WR free agents available this offseason, but has work to do first."
For Buffalo, potentially having Davis is huge given his playoff success. In 2022, Davis had eight catches for 201 yards and an NFL playoff-record four touchdowns in the Bills' 42-36 overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Davis has had his ups and downs, including five games with at least four catches with over 80 receiving yards and a touchdown, and five games where he didn't even register a catch. He finished the regular season with 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.
For Davis, a chance to have another strong showing in the playoffs would be huge given that he's a free agent at the end of the season. If he plays at his best in Buffalo's biggest games of the season, he could parlay that into a major payday in the spring.
