WATCH: Buffalo Bills, Gabe Davis Strike Quickly With TD vs. Miami Dolphins

Buffalo Bills receiver Gabe Davis now has a touchdown in three straight games.

Buffalo Bills receiver Gabe Davis got the scoring started quickly in Sunday's potential shootout with the Miami Dolphins at Highmark Stadium.

The Bills put together an eight-play, 75-yard opening drive to give Buffalo a 7-0 lead after receiving the first-half kickoff. The drive was aided by a 15-yard unecessary roughness penalty on Miami and a 17-yard catch by Stefon Diggs both coming on the play before Davis' touchdown.

Here's a look at the score:

Davis made it a point ahead of Week 3's meeting with the Washington Commanders that doing his job downfield will makes things easier for Allen.

“Like I was preaching earlier about making it easy for 17,” Davis said. “So we gotta know that we’re not only going against the guy in front of us, but we’re going against the guys on the line of scrimmage.”

“That’s one of the things that our coach harps on. Each week, we’re going against the D-Line as well. We have to be aware of that and know that we don’t have all this time at the line of scrimmage, we have to get open.”

Davis now has a touchdown in three straight games after snagging his first score of the season in Week 2's win over the Las Vegas Raiders and again against the Commanders last week.

The Bills scored a touchdown again on their second drive of the game to take a 14-7 lead, The expectations of a shootout were being fulfilled early on in the first quarter of Sunday's game.
